Physical characteristics by Kay Hayes out of the box, there are some nice features for this printer - and a few not so nice. First, the document feeder on top smart disappears when you flip it closed to start a continuous surface to make simple and dusted, and an elegant look. Secondly, the angle of the control panel is easily adjustable with a quick pull handle to release hidden. Thirdly, there are convenient holes on the underside of the printer to pick it up and carry it (to save small, but thoughtful finger). Finally comes with four ink cartridges full. I bought printers in the past because the ink to the printer to test, but that was about. Having to shell out another fifty U.S. dollars or more for the purchase of a printer ink is a little tricky for me. The lack of a memory card port / compartment lid and the fact that the paper has a dust collection forward slash are the only two areas that do not have the physical design of the printer installation from unpacking to print a test page on my wireless network took 40 minutes. The process included the installation and preparation of the ink (which takes a few minutes), the driver installation, connect via USB (to set the fastest wireless connection - but you can use the keyboard of the printer, if you prefer) in then connect wirelessly. Wireless was easy, at first I worried about was how to ensure a network. All I had to do was confirm my SSID. Since the installation from a laptop using the same network, the software will have all the necessary information from the PC. Do not even have to enter a WEP key. The additional software installation of extra software for photo editing and scanning, and update the drivers, took about 30 minutes. The recording was as fast as the software fills in most of the whites, such as name, e-mail, state, zip code and serial number of the printer (do not know how I feel about where / how to have my information because I have no other Epson products) It is interesting to note that the first attempt to update the driver via the wireless connection has failed. I had to connect the USB cable and then update. Then, when I got up the next morning, the scanner was not found by the computer so I used the utility to update the driver again and, for the second time, found the latest drivers for your printer and scanner. It 'also revealed an alert box this time to install the printer driver first. After installing the printer driver, restart, then install the scanner driver, all was well. It is interesting to note that the installation of the second pilot has gone well beyond the wireless connection. My guess is that the attempt failed initially caused the scanner driver must be installed first. Overall it is a fast printer and scanner. The scanner is a very short warm-up this short warm-up time allows the printer to turn off the lamp immediately after scanning compete and thus save energy. Scanning documents using the ADF worked perfectly. Color Scanning PDF files took a couple minutes per side, including file conversion. Print pages to Word documents was very fast in color and black and white. Make a color copy of the default configuration of the quality of the ADF took about 26 seconds, including hot scanner. Photo print speed and quality was good for a multifunction device, was also good. The scanner software is basic and lacks some features of my Canon MP830 and the ability to scan multiple images simultaneously in multiple files. Jpg (essentially a single pass of the scanner makes multiple images). The imaging software is very easy to use and very basic. No editing capabilities, plus a lot of positioning, color correction and add a frame.

Dawson This printer is a bargain for the price. Print speed is OK, a bit slow to warm up. Print quality is excellent. Duplexing and ability to keep a full Reem paper is beautiful. Configure a network printer was difficult. Tried the wireless set up and it was impossible. To be fair, it may be that our wireless SSID broadcast as a precaution. Gave it to the printer through a wireless network connection and went to a cable connection. It took some doing, but I have finally found the network. Network Connection instructions were at best poor. This is a large printer. All 23 customer reviews ....

We have used this brand of card for a long time, along with Xerox branded card just a little nicer in my opinion. However, for 90% of print jobs of this race works perfectly well. My only complaint is that we have five stacks ordered and shipped them all in a box, that was a bit too big. It will make your life easier! By Kurt A. Johnson now I am the secretary of the committee for my son's Boy Scout troop, I volunteered to make a newsletter to troops. Well, writing the newsletter was the easiest part - the hardest part was or hand writing the envelopes, or envelopes filled with my printer, one by one. Now that is no longer a problem. All I have to do is record one of these labels through my printer, and I can get a lot of labels to print and be ready. Setting up the format of my text editor was quick and easy, and the actual printing is a snap. So far, I did print some of these pages, and I had absolutely no problem with the labels come off inside the printer or something, so if you need to meet a large number of envelopes, get these labels will make life much easier ... are mine did! I highly recommend this product. 4 of 5 people found this review helpful. Labels make life easier by Andrea I love the labels, or anything that makes life easier. They are very organized, both at work and at home. Labels do things so much easier and faster. I love these labels. They should not be used with a printer - can be written. And the reason I say this because these labels are laser and inkjet printers have ink. Therefore, I can still use them, because I can write about them rather than run through the printer. There are a variety of uses for the labels. In addition to addresses, the files, office and other grounds can be used for containers, boxes, etc impressive product. See all 90 reviews ....

Client more useful on 147 of 149 people found this review helpful. Best all-in-one I found for Mac Mitchell MD This is the latest version of the Brother MFC-8860, and is a step ahead of the MFC-8480, as proposed by the 8890 full-duplex scanning, copying and faxing. The MFC-8480 only provides duplex printing. I Mac - many of them - so I looked around for a while 'for a laser multifunction machine I could use for printing, scanning, copying and faxing from time to time. I am very impressed with this machine up to date, and following the installation from the CD, everything just worked. The printer driver is installed, it includes a fax option directly in the driver itself (at print setting tabs), and TWAIN driver for scanning, and so was their Control Center software that provides access to all settings for the printer documentation and a set of custom presets for the different functions of the printer (most useful for scanning different types of documents to different applications on the Mac, including an OCR function) The duplex is great - the ADF read both pages of documents for copying, scanning, faxing and even. The most expensive models (like 8480 and a Canon MF4370 I recently tested) only in duplexing is on, but 8890 should be read as well as to produce two-page documentation for each function. Networking Opportunities for Mac is also top-notch, with both wired and wireless networking capabilities, you can use all the features of the machine over the network, with seemingly fast transfer speeds, and high-resolution color scanning. Incidentally, my previous provider favorite printer, Canon is not compatible with network scanning any of its multifunction printers Mac, but that is not apparent until you buy one and try it - your support has since told me this is true I think the only 8890 that the brother was not over the network for Mac is a fax - is compatible with any Windows fax server that Apple has no equivalent. But since you can simply scan a document and send it to your Mac over the network instead, it matters little. So if you want a machine fully compatible with networks that works with Mac, this is your machine. The 8480 is a little less expensive, but not fully compatible with two-sided printing, to people in need of a simple office. 46 of 47 people found this review helpful. Another good all-in-one brother JB This is my third or fourth Brother All in One I've always had luck with the brand and so far this is no different. It worked very well out of the box, even if the wireless LAN was not easy, but even I, a non-techie, I have to work one hour or so after the move. I also received your fax setup to work with my 2-handset phone with integrated answering machine with remote control (always a nail biter). Regarding the problem wrinkles envelope, just follow the instructions of another reviewer posted here (thank you) Open the back door and along the handles to push the envelope marked. Now I walk my machine with these levers to less than 100% of the time without problems. Also prints on plain paper, labels and envelopes. The scanner works well for business documents and duplex is very cool. Fax I do not much use, but the incoming faxes work fine. 53 of 56 people found the following review helpful. servicable, reliable good value, but has its problems by Brian I bought it when I opened my own law firm. I have a small real estate company, but I am going through a lot of printing and copying, this machine has been reliable and I use it with my laptop and WiFi. I bought the extra tray for legal paper, which was quite easy to install (even if you have to lift the printer and put it all down just right on top of tray 2, a kind of a sensitive and difficult) and reliable select the correct paper size automatically.
